Our courses are delivered online via our learning management system. Students and teachers can use the course as a standalone class or as supplementary material in an in-person class. Online learning takes discipline. You will be required to complete readings, view lectures, participate in discussion boards, and complete assignments. Some courses may be entirely asynchronous (you can view lectures and complete assignments at your own pace) while others may require you to attend scheduled online meetings or discussion sections. For information on a specific course, click on the “Courses” link at the top of the page.
How does grading work?
The student’s teacher issues grades. TeachingScience can provide a grade report, but the student’s school of record is the institution that grants credit, not TeachingScience. Instructors assign grades on the basis of a student’s performance on the activities outlined in the course syllabus. All the grades are stored and can be accessed by students on the learnig management system under "GradeBook" item.
